Congratulations to one of our Y13 pupils who has won the UK Final of the National Schools’ Regatta at Eton Dorney.
Having come through a morning time trial, a semi final and then into the “A” final our Girls Championship Single Sculler (who is the current Junior Irish Single Scull Champion) stormed to an impressive victory beating the best scullers that Team GB could offer and set a new National Schools Regatta Championship record for ChG1x by an impressive 6 seconds (nice cherry on top of the victory cake)! The previous record had stood for an impressive 7 years, huge congratulations full deserved!
The National Schools Regatta is hosted at the 2012 London Olympic course at Eton Dorney and is the largest Junior rowing event in the UK. This year over 5,400 junior rowers competed travelling from all over UK and Ireland.
