This weekend CGS rowers were honoured to be visited by Ireland’s double Olympian Sanita Puspure.Sanita currently the 4th fastest female rower in
the world had travelled from her home in Cork to be the guest speaker at the CGS rowing club dinner and awards ceremony to be held in the Royal
Court Portrush. When Sanita heard the dinner was sold out she volunteered to attend Saturday morning training to meet the athletes and specifically
those unable to attend the dinner later that night. What a modest personable super star this lady proved to be. Shy children were soon swarming
round her like bees round honey. Later that evening she delivered a speech with such understated modesty that it left the audience in awe.
A great night was had by all as we look forward to the season ahead.
