Portstewart

6-9 July 2017

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation will return to
Northern Ireland this summer after Portstewart Golf Club was confirmed as the host venue from July 6-9, 2017.

Long considered one of the country’s finest links courses, Portstewart will be staging a European Tour event for the first time when tournament host
Rory McIlroy defends his title here this summer. The course is regarded as having one of the most spectacular front-nine holes in Great Britain
and Ireland – on the north coast of Northern Ireland. “Portstewart is an excellent links course and one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gems,” said
Rory McIlroy.

Between Tuesday 4th and Sunday 9th July volunteers will be required to assist the golfing event with providing a warm welcome to visitors, meet &
greet and orienteering competitors and delegates, driving and photography duties.

Interested pupils who are 16+ are invited to apply through the “Volunteer Now” organisation website.
